In celebration of its 25th anniversary, United Way Lanark County is going social and we want you to join us!
Whatever it is that you do to get social:
-
Hosting a BBQ with friends,
-
Having a Girl?s Night Out
(or in!),
-
Golf Tournaments,
-
Potluck dinners with friends and family,
-
Birthday parties
We have made it easy to register your event and give back to your community. Have guests register online and support your event, whether you have them donate beforehand or collect cash donations throughout your event. The money raised will go to United Way Lanark County and in this way, your event will be improving the quality of life for many people in your community.? Not feeling like hosting an event? Why not start a movement within your workplace, home, sports team ?
-
Have guests at a bridal or baby shower donate money instead of gifts?
-
Start up a swear jar at home
-
Garage sales
With the option of sharing your event directly through your Facebook page, the ability to increase awareness is huge. The invitees are also welcome to share with their friends the fact that they donated, with an additional option of sharing the monetary value of their donation.
United Way focuses on improving three key factors within the community: moving people from poverty to possibility, allowing kids to be all that they can be and creating healthy people and strong communities. Whether you would like your event to raise money for one of the focus areas or you would like to donate to United Way Lanark County in general is up to you.
