Looking for a ?hands-on? leader with strong accounting, financial analysis, internal control, planning, and reporting skills as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills. This individual should be a profit-minded, high-energy, proactive manager committed to continuous improvement of processes and procedures. This position will provide financial guidance and support to the Plant Managers and also partner with functional leadership to provide financial, business, administrative support services which are critical to the achievement of operational and financial objectives.

The Controller will be responsible for:

• P&L and Balance Sheet responsibility for Tecate and Tijuana plants.
• Sets and drives execution of AOP financial objectives, capital plans, and lead plant LRP planning process.
• Submits required financial reports, forecasts, quotations, budgets, rates, and analyzes on time in accordance with Sector and Corporate deadlines including STB and MOR.
• Partner with operations to manage DPO and inventory turns to improve overall working capital position. Align and ensure accurate productivity reporting on a monthly basis with finance, operation, and sourcing.
• Ensures the accurate appraisal, interpretation, and analysis of financial results, while also providing analyzes, interpretation, and justification of budgets, forecasts, and long range plans.
• Prepare and analyze balance sheet reconciliations with appropriate supporting schedules.
• Develop a robust forecast with the goal of forecast accuracy of 95%+ for revenue, cogs, operating income, and operating cash flow.
• Compliance: Directs a continuing review of the division's accounting practices and reporting to ensure their correctness, appropriateness, and conformance to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), Financial Corporate Accounting Policies (FICAP) and Sarbanes Oxley.
• Prevention, elimination, and timely close-out of control deficiencies.
• Interprets, implements, and/or maintains divisional and corporate financial policies, practices and procedures, including provision of effective controls and audit capabilities.
• Assimilates, evaluates, and correlates associated risk/benefit trade-offs of project proposals and subsequent tracking and reporting to ensure achievement of planned return on investment.
• Develops sound business plans for new products and processes. Business case development and analysis. Capital and investment project evaluation. NPV and ROIC analysis.
• Maintain accurate documentation and robust and effective processes for closing, standard setting, and all other financial processes and procedures. Improve cycle times and accuracy
• Drive and support continuous improvement initiatives (lean and business transformation)

Financial Leadership and Communication

• Partner with operations leadership to develop operations strategy and drive the translation of strategic goals into an actionable/measurable business plan.
• Talent Management: Manage and develop staff.
• Share and/or implement best practices.

Cost Accounting and Inventory Control

• Maintain and improve the overall internal control environment and improve accuracy and safe-guarding of inventory, supplies, and fixed assets.

• Ultimately responsible for development consistent costing methodologies, which include standard cost setting, direct costing, and inventory valuation.
