With the MAJOR help of my smart gamer boyfriend, I?ve been able to get myself a brand new computer. It?s much faster than my old one, can play HD YouTube videos, and not let?s not forget what?s also nice: it can play the latest games in high(est) settings. After all, to be honest, I mostly wanted to upgrade my computer so I could play the games my boyfriend can play on his, and play co-op games with him. Of course, being able to open up simple programs much faster is also a nice bonus, and very efficient for working on things.
With a budget of ?350 ($445), I?ve been able to build the following PC:
Gaming PC Build:
Processor: Intel Pentium G860 Boxed
Motherboard: Asrock H61M-GS
Memory: 8GB, Corsair CMV8GX3M2A1333C9
Graphics Card: Sapphire HD 7750 1GB GDDR5
Power Supply: Corsair Builder CX430 V2
Hard Disk: Western Digital Elements 1TB
Casing: BitFenix Merc Alpha
Now I no longer need to be jealous of anyone else?s computer specs ? I?ve got a fine PC myself. If you?re ready to see what I used to deal with? here we go:
My old Computer Build
Processor: Intel Celeron D 347 3.06GHz
Motherboard: Asus P5PL2-E
Memory: DDR2 1GB 667 (later upgraded to a whopping 1,5GB)
Graphics Card: Asus 128 MB EAX 1300
Power Supply: Sharkoon SHA350-8P 350W
Hard Disk: Western Digital 250GB
Sure, it worked, sure watching YouTube videos on 480p max is okay, and sure I can wait 2 minutes for OpenOffice to start up? but that?s not nice, nor is it efficient. With my new computer, doing anything has become easier, faster and better!
